The purpose of this page is to briefly list some of the books and poetry that I have read and recommend to others. There is not enough space to list and comment on all of the books I have read, but this should give a general idea. The page is broken down into different general classifications. There are always so many books out there that still need to be read and for me books seem a natural escape from the drudgery of life.

Robert Jordan - Wheel of Time series.
Probably one of the greatest fantasy series written recently. A phenomenal tale of magic with a very human element |
Jacquelin Carey - Kushiel's series.
A very mature fantasy novel that has an interesting mix of prostitution and fantasy. Well written, but not recommended for a young crowd or those squeamish about sex. |
Dan Brown - DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons.
Two phenomenally easy reads which are based on both fact and fiction and are very delightful and entertaining |
Edgar Allan Poe - Complete works
One of my favorite poets and story tellers, poe has a very dark yet ultimately human revelation of human emotion. |
|
Terry Brooks - Shannara series and other books
Brooks' books deal a lot with druids and extroardinary events that happen to ordinary people when a druid comes into their life. There is a lot of consistency and the stories appear to build on the past of this world. |
Terry Goodkind - Sword of Truth series
A neat fantasy tale, although, in my humble opinion not as good as Jordan or Brooks; however, well worth the read. I have not yet read the newest book Chainfire |
Matthew Pearl - The Dante Club.
Another piece of historical fiction that is a delightful read. This is a murder mystery that is surrounded with literary figures attempting to solve crimes based on Dante's Divine Comedy. |
Peter McWilliams - Ain't Nobody's Bussiness if You Do
This phenomenal book collects many amazing quotes from different leaders and important people and also addresses Libertarian thought on the "Absurdity of Consensual Crimes in Our Free Country" |

Raymond Feist - Magician and other books
A great story teller, Feist combines a magical world with a medieval-type setting in many of his books. |
